CIBUS in Parma!!!

Since a good majority of you in this meetup group are Italian you're already aware of the importance of knowing where your food comes from and the integrity of the people and companies who produce it. The entire Slow Food movement was started here in Italy after all. Parma will be hosting Cibus at the Fiere di Parma from the 15th to the 17th of April and I'm proposing that we have a meetup and go as a group on Sunday the 17th. The price is only 5 euros a person and there will be food from every region of Italy so it will be a fun opportunity to learn and hopefully make new food discoveries. As a "Foodie" I'm really excited! I've been waiting for this fiere since I first heard about it last Autumn.

I've sent off an e-mail asking about bus service from the train station and I'm still waiting for the response so for now I think the best thing to plan for is to carpool. If you need a ride please let me know and if you have space available in your car and would be willing to car-share let me know as well. Looking at the map though it doesn't appear that the fiere is too far from the Parma train station so if we organize some taxi shares it won't be that expensive either.

Parma tollgate on 'Autostrada del Sole' (A1)from where a new road connect directly the motorway with the exhibition center, or tollgate "Parma Ovest" on 'Autostrada della Cisa' (A15). Adequate car parking facilities are always available as some 9.000 parking spaces are located around the fairground.

The plan for now is to meet in front of the ticket area at 10:30 which is 1/2 an hour before the exhibition opens. Come hungry and don't forget your shopping bags!
